For over two decades, ArborWorks has supported investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipalities and government agencies with safe and reliable vegetation management solutions across the full project lifecycle. A leading provider in the field, the company specializes in utility line clearance, right-of-way clearing and maintenance, pre-inspection, pole clearing, hazard tree removal, herbicide application and wildfire and storm response.
“When ArborWorks was founded in 2003 in Oakhurst, California by an ISA Certified Arborist, it initially served residential, commercial and utility clients. Since then, we have grown into a nationwide operation serving customers across 15 states. In 2021, we were acquired by New State Capital Partners, which gave us the opportunity to scale more strategically while continuing to invest in our people, equipment and technology,” opens Chris Miner, CEO.
Through that expanded platform, ArborWorks was able to build out a genuinely comprehensive offering designed to support the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure. In addition to its core vegetation management services, the company provides pre-inspection and consulting through its subsidiary ArborVista, allowing it to support clients from early-stage planning and compliance through execution. Its teams are also highly experienced in wildfire mitigation and storm response, where the ability to mobilize quickly and operate with discipline can make a real difference. What sets ArborWorks apart is that all these services are delivered as a fully integrated solution. Planning, inspection and field execution are all combined under one roof, giving clients a single, reliable partner rather than a mix of providers.
People are central to how that model works, and investing in employees has been a key priority for the company, especially since Chris took over as CEO. “We are committed to creating an environment where our people can build long-term, meaningful careers. To that end, we actively support professional development through training, education and certification programs, and encourage our employees to pursue credentials like ISA certifications and Tree Risk Assessment qualifications. Alongside investment in its workforce, ArborWorks has a clear approach to technology that is focused on what genuinely adds value rather than adopting tools for the sake of following trends. “We continuously invest in digital technologies that improve visibility, accountability and overall operational performance. For example, one of our main tools is KloudGin, which we use to track daily production at crew level across our operations. As a result, we gain insight into trends and performance in real time, enabling us to identify where we can make better decisions for our customers. Leveraging this data empowers us to boost our efficiency while improving resource allocation and ensuring a higher level of consistency across our projects. It has also strengthened communication between field teams and leadership, making us more proactive and responsive as an organization. Beyond that, we are developing an AI-driven application specifically aimed at supporting smaller utilities and cooperatives that may not have access to the same level of funding or technology as larger organizations. With that, our goal is to give them a practical, scalable tool that enhances planning, decision-making and access to data-driven vegetation management solutions,” Chris elaborates.
With those foundations in place, 2026 is shaping up to be another year of strong growth for ArborWorks. As he looks to the months ahead, Chris reveals the company’s strategy for the remainder of the year. “Our focus remains on expanding our presence while strengthening our partnerships and continuing to invest in our workforce. This year, we have already expanded into six new states, with more on the horizon. Demand for vegetation management services is poised to continue growing, driven by wildfire mitigation, grid reliability initiatives and infrastructure upgrades. Our focus is on making sure we have the right people, equipment and systems in place to meet that demand safely and efficiently. At the same time, we are committed to improving our processes and using data to deliver better outcomes for our customers, our teams, and the communities we serve,” he concludes.
